Entertainment Media, AAS
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Entertainment Media at Monroe University prepares students
for dynamic, entry-level careers across the film, television, sports media, and digital content industries.
Through rigorous, hands-on training in media production, cinematography, storytelling, editing,
podcasting, and multi-platform content creation, the program equips graduates with the technical skills
and professional mindset demanded by today's rapidly evolving media landscape.
Monroe University's Entertainment Media program is built with equity and access at its core. Serving a
diverse student population—including many first-generation college students and individuals from
communities historically underrepresented in the media industry—the program is intentionally designed
to open doors to careers that have long been out of reach for many talented people. By pairing rigorous
academic preparation with real-world industry experience, Monroe University is not just training media
professionals; it is actively diversifying the storytellers who shape our culture.
